Architecture for Art Gallery exhibited recent paintings and Sculpture by Jim Holl. The exhibition was on view during April and May 2011.

During the mid 1990s I began an inquiry into the dot and the line. An abstract theme, became, as the eye followed the line, a timeline. Time may not be linear; hence the compositions form was found. As the dot is a place in space, so are we. In 2001 the timelines gave way to a place in space – the dots became plants, rocks or low-lying clouds. The ‘Indeterminate Landscapes’ are maximal and minimal ideas with associations to both figuration and abstraction. The change of scale, the randomness, the lack of a horizon line and chance all color the work. My Art For Architecture Gallery installation included both painting and sculpture in various manners and means. It is not the mediums or styles that are my primary concern. Rather it is the exploration of oscillating points of view united by a common theme and a prevalent mood.
